OUR MISSION
The mission of The Union is to bring motivated teachers and industry experts together to work with area youth to increase their skills and knowledge in a variety of educational pathways. Ultimately, this organization wants to eliminate any barriers that would inhibit a student to reach their full potential. Any student, regardless of the social or economic situation, that desires to improve their situation will be welcomed at no cost.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The Union is a place built by teachers who love their craft and want to bring the best of the best together to share their expertise and love of learning.
Started in the fall of 2021, The Union started to provide supplemental programming to 4th - 12th grade students. Since then, we have begun the process of expanding our programming to various academic needs. The nature of the programming is dependent on the instructors and courses that we feel provide an active learning and hands-on experience for our students. Student participants will generally be divided by specific grade cohorts (4-5, 6-8, 9-12). All of our programming is free for any student.
We intend to offer learning opportunities and a comprehensive experience that is not available in all school districts in the greater Richland area.
